ROOM DESCRIPTIONS

THE GARDEN SUITE Two room suite with queen bed and adjoining tub and shower bath. Sitting room with two comfortable armchairs and a sofa. Sliding pocket doors provide privacy in the bedroom, which features an antique wicker table and two chairs tucked into a round turret. Old-fashioned decor, with striped and flowered wallpaper, lace curtains and wicker furniture. Light and bright, with windows facing west and south. $140.
THE NORWEGIAN ROOM Many descendants of Norwegian immigrants still live in the Lanesboro area. This large room with adjoining bath highlights the work of local artisans skilled in woodcarving, embroidery, weaving and rosemaling. Handpainted queen sized sleigh bed. Includes a sitting area with sofa, small table and two chairs. East and south facing windows. $115.
THE AMISH ROOM This is a cozy room, furnished simply with Amish-made pine furniture. The sleigh bed is covered with a traditional shadow quilt handmade by a local Amish woman. The bathroom (shower only) is right across the hall, but not shared with any other room. North facing window with a view of the bluff. $90.
COMMON AREAS
FRONT PORCH Enjoy the perennial garden from the breezy front porch, complete with Amish made bentwood oak and hickory rockers.
MUSIC ROOM Play the Chickering grand piano, radio, c/d and tape player. Many tapes and c/d's from which to choose, as well as an extensive collection of sheet music.
GAME ROOM This room has a table and four chairs, perfect for a game of scrabble or checkers. Game cupboard had large selection of puzzles, board games and cards - even tiddly winks, jacks, Cootie and a carom board. This room also has a telephone for guest use. We now have high speed Internet access (wireless) if you need to check your e-mail or get some information on the Web.
DINING ROOM The dining room is furnished with oak antiques and a simple, built in oak cupboard. Wine glasses, corkscrew, other dishes or glassware are available for guest use for cocktail hours or snack.
PARLOR This room features two loveseats, two comfortable wing back chairs, and lots of good books and magazines. A good place to relax, meet other guests or finish the novel you can't put down.
